How it works
SpeedBox 1.0 intelligently interposes itself into the system of your EAB to modify the speed sensor signal before it reaches the motor. It acts as a ‘translator’, making your bike think you’re travelling at a lower speed than you really are. This keeps the electric assistance active well beyond its usual limit. Although the actual speed is displayed on the EAB screen at up to 22 km/h, this electronic manipulation guarantees continuous, smooth assistance for an improved ride.
Assembly
Fitting the SpeedBox 1.0 has been designed so that anyone can do it, without the need for complicated tools or advanced technical knowledge. The kit is designed to connect directly to the original connectors on your EAB, making installation almost foolproof. It usually only takes a few minutes to connect the module between the speed sensor and the motor. Comprehensive guides and video tutorials are available to help you every step of the way, ensuring that installation is quick and safe.
